Church Lane, Nunburnholme - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
PART OF CHURCH LANE, NUNBURNHOLME
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along
part of Church Lane, Nunburnholme from Long Hill
northbound to a property called Brook Cottage
commencing 10 November 2025 between
08.00 hours until 18.00 hours. The reason for the
closure is to enable the proposed part of Church Lane,
Nunburnholme excavation to install approximately
1230 metres of telecoms duct to link into existing
apparatus as part of the larger fibre to the home
scheme works, to be carried out and completed
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. It is anticipated that the works will be
completed within ten hours. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the Order is via Church Lane, Butt
Lane, Lowfield Lane, Featherbed Lane, Fishpond Hill,
Millington Lane, Kilnwick Road, The Oval, Clayfield
Road, Wold Road, Burnby Lane, Pocklington Lane,
Nunburnholme Road and Long Hill, Nunburnholme
CP, Pocklington CP, Hayton CP, Pocklington Provincial
Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward. The road will be closed
to all through traffic but access will be maintained for
residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
The Order will commence 10 November 2025 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
