PUBLIC NOTICE

LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY

THE BROMLEY (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) ORDER 2003 (AMENDMENT NO. 239) ORDER 2025

THE BROMLEY (CONTROLLED PARKING) (ON STREET PLACES) ORDER 2004 (AMENDMENT NO. 148) ORDER 2025. (ALBEMARLE ROAD AND CROFT AVENUE BECKENHAM)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Orders would be to:

(1) Revoke the existing pay and display bays opposite Nos. 1-11 Albemarle Road and replace with a double yellow line as set out in the Schedule to this Notice.

(2) Install pay by phone bays on Croft Avenue, outside Airedale House and remove single yellow line from same location as set out in the Schedule to this Notice.

(3) Install pay by phone bays on Links Road, northside, from a point 7m west of the extended western building line of No. 1 Link Road for 18m westwards and remove the single yellow line from same location as set out in the Schedule to this Notice.

Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Order.

Copies of the proposed Orders, of the plans of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Bromley Council, Churchill Court, Westmoreland Road, Bromley BR1 1AS.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Assistant of Traffic and Parking, Bromley Council, Churchill Court, Westmoreland Road, Bromley BR1 1AS, or by email to TrafficManagementOrders@Bromley.gov.uk  quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/809 not later than 5th November 2025.

Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.

SCHEDULE:-

WAITING RESTRICTIONS
No Waiting At Any Time:-

ALBEMARLE ROAD:
(a) the south side, from a point 16m west of the western kerbline of Albemarle Road at its junction with St George’s Road for 49.6m westwards.
(b) south side, remove the pay and display bays from a point 16m west of the western kerbline of Albemarle Road at its junction with St George’s Road for 49.6m westwards.

CROFT AVENUE:
southside, remove the single yellow line from a point 14m west on the extended party wall on Nos. 1A and 1B Croft Avenue for 18m westwards.

LINK ROAD:
northside, remove the single yellow line from a point 6m west of the western building line of No.1 Link Road for 18m westwards.

CONTROLLED PARKING
Pay By Phone Parking
Monday - Saturday, 8.30am to 6.30pm. Max stay 3 hours, no return within 1 hour

CROFT AVENUE:
southside, from a point 14m west on the extended party wall on No 1A and 1B Croft Avenue for 18m westwards

LINK ROAD:
northside, from a point 6m west of the extended western building line of No. 1 Link Road for 18m westwards
