What is happening?
THE OLDHAM - MARLBOROUGH STREET
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER 2025
The Oldham Borough Council on 14th October 2025 made
a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit
vehicles from proceeding along that part of Marlborough
Street from Harmony Street for its full extent. The
alternative route is via Woodstock Street, Waterloo Street
and Churchill Street.
The Order is to be made because of ongoing cabled
replacement works and will be in force for 4 weeks
from 21st October 2025, or until the works have been
completed, whichever is the earlier.
A copy of the Order may be examined at my office between
the hours of 8.40am and 5.00pm on Monday to Friday
