THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM

(PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS)

(KING EDWARDS ROAD, BARKING) AMENDMENT No. 156 ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in exercise of its powers under sections 6 and 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter called "the Act") and all other enabling legislation and powers and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act made the above Order, the effect of which will be to:

1. Adjust 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions at the following locations around the new kerb build out:

a. King Edwards Road, north-east side, from its junction with Morley Road for 9.9 metres in a north-westerly direction.

2. Introduce 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions at the following locations:

a. King Edwards Road, south-west side, from a point 2.5 metres north-west of its junction with Morley Road to its junction with Net Street around the new kerb build out.

b. King Edwards Road, south-west side, from a point 1.2 metres south­east of its junction with Morley Road for 31.5 metres in a south-easterly direction.

3. Revoke the existing 'Resident Permit Holders Only Zone J 8.30am-9pm' bay at the following locations:

a. King Edwards Road, south-west side, from a point 2.5 metres north­west of its junction with Morley Road for 15 metres in a north-westerly direction.

b. King Edwards Road, south-west side, from a point 1.2 metres south­east of its junction with Morley Road for 31.5 metres in a south-easterly direction.

A copy of the Orders, which will come into force on 27 October 2025 and the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Orders are available to view for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made on the Councils website by visiting the following webpage https://www.lbbd. gov.uk/parking/parking-area and selecting 'New and proposed traffic and parking schemes' or available for inspection at the Adult Library, First Floor, Barking Learning Centre, Barking between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any Regulations under it have not been complied with may do so within six weeks of the made date of the Order by applying to the High Court.
