What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM

(RAINHAM ROAD SOUTH, DAGENHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE OF INTENT

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate Mobile Telecoms Works, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Monday 8 December 2025. The works expected for:

- Mobile Telecoms works to take 2 days to complete. Completion date estimated as Tuesday 9 December 2025 with the work to be undertaken between 8:00am and 6:00pm

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily: -

- Prohibit all vehicles in the cycle lane on Rainham Road South, south side, from a point approximately 87.5 metres east of its junction with Canberra Crescent for 21 metres in an easterly direction.

- Prohibit all pedestrians on the partial footpath closure on Rainham Road South, south side footpath, from a point approximately 92.5 metres east of its junction with Canberra Crescent for 8 metres in an easterly direction. This partial closure will maintain 1.2 metres of footpath access at all times.

4. Alternative routes for pedestrians will be maintained and signed:

- Via Rainham Road South, south side footpath.

5. Alternative routes for cyclists will be maintained and signed:

- Via Rainham Road South, westbound carriageway.
