ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Lower Assendon, Various Roads

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 13 October 2025

Coming into force: 23 October 2025

This Order is being introduced because of excavation for fibre cabling works which are anticipated to be completed 30 October 2025. This will operate between 08:00 and 18:00hrs. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in sections of

Broad Plat Lane 23 to 27 October;

Rectory Lane 28 to 30 Oct;

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative routes for traffic will be signed locally.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref T16426/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Tiddington, A418 Oxford Road & Sandy Lane

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 13 October 2025

Coming into force: 20 October 2025

This Order is being introduced because of fibre cabling works which are anticipated to be completed 13 November 2025. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in that part of Oxford Road from outside Tiddington Garage to opposite The Orchard; and in Sandy Lane from opposite Watters Farm to the junction with Oxford Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Sandy Lane, A40, A418 and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16417/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Benson and Crowmarsh, Thames Footpath Closure

Date of Order: 18 March 2024

Came into force: 25 March 2024

The order is being introduced because of Benson Weir Refurbishment which is anticipated to be completed on 31 October 2025. This is a 24 hour closure.

Delays are associated with financial prioritising for such works and a timescale is yet to be established.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily close part of the Thames Footpath approximately half way between Shillingford bridge and Benson Lock & Weir. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. The alternative route will be signed locally. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

The order, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 31/10/26 or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner.

Britwell Salome, Road running West from Old Post Office

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 13 October 2025

Coming into force: 20 October 2025

This Order is being introduced because of excavation for fibre cabling work which is anticipated to take 9 days to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the section of road running west from the junction of the B4009 to Orchard Close. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The diversion will be signed locally.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16269/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Henley, Greys Road

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 13 October 2025

Coming into force: 20 October 2025

This Order is being introduced because of sewer repair work which is anticipated to take 12 days to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the section of Greys Road outside No.13. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The diversion for this closure is via Duke St – Market Place – Gravel Hill – Paradise Rd – Deanfield Avenue – Greys Rd and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16235/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Goring Heath, Deadman’s Lane

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 13 October 2025

Coming into force: 20 October 2025

This Order is being introduced because of excavation to install duct work which is anticipated to take 18 days to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the section of Deadman’s Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The diversion for this closure is via B4526 – Unnamed Road – Deadman’s Lane and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16446/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Deddington, Earls Lane

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 13 October 2025

Coming into force: 20 October 2025

This Order is being introduced because of water main replacement work which is anticipated to take 3 months to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the section of Earls Lane from the junction of Banbury Road to Castle St. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The diversion for this closure is via the B4031 & A4260 and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16539/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Garsington, Denton Lane

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 13 October 2025

Coming into force: 20 October 2025

This Order is being introduced because of water main replacement work which is anticipated to take 9 weeks to complete in phases along the road.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in Denton Lane from The Hill/Wheatley Road to Denton Hill. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The diversion is via Wheatley Road – Denton Hill – Denton Lane – B480 – Pettiwell and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16532/MR)
