Clevedon Off-Street Parking Places Consolidation Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that on the 9 October 2025 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to implement parking charges to the Great Weston Road East, Great Western Road West and Marson Road Car Parks in Clevedon.
The order comes into operation on the 17 October 2025 and copies of this together with plans and a copy of the Council’s statement of reason for making the order may be inspected at https://n-somerset.gov.uk/my-services/parking-travel-roads/roads-streets/comment-traffic-regulation-orders-tros
Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Moving Traffic Prohibitions and Restrictions, North Somerset Consolidation Order 2024 (Variation 4) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order was to amend the North Somerset Council (Moving Traffic Prohibitions and Restrictions, North Somerset Consolidation Order 2024 to include 7.5t Weight Restriction on part of Station Road, Flax Bourton. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this Notice. Full details of the proposals are contained in the draft Order which, together with the plans and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected online at:

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council intends to dispose of approximately 0.080ha of land at Horsecastle, Yatton and approximately 0.094ha of land at Grange Farm Road, Yatton to Yatton Parish Council. Both parcels of land are used for public recreation and will continue to be used for that purpose.

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
North Somerset Council
Bridgwater Road (A38) and Colliters Way (A4174), Long Ashton, North Somerset
Temporary 30mph Speed Limit Order and Prohibition of Overtaking Order 2025
Date coming into force: 3 November 2025
Ref: T25-60
Will be to restrict, temporarily any vehicles from exceeding 30mph and prohibit them from overtaking on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services.
The above restriction is necessary in the interest of public safety and the facilitation of road works as part of the BSIP (Bus Service Improvement Plan) works being undertaken by North Somerset Council. This order will become operative on the 3 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026
Date coming into Force: 19 January 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to replace manhole cover. This order will become operative on the 19 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 8am and 4pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 19 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:
Bristol Road, Portishead, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025
Date coming Into Force: 27 October 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace 6.35m of old metallic gas mains with 6.35m of new plastic mains and renew/transfer any affected service pipes to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 27 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 15 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Mill Lane, The Batch, Butcombe, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025
Date coming Into Force: 27 October 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to repair sewers. This order will become operative on the 27 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 131 days in duration. The commencement dates of the phase closures are approximate and subject to the progression of the works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025
Date coming into Force: 16 October 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
This order was required in the interests of public safety due to unsafe crossing blocks and works by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd at the Grants Mill rail crossing. This order will become operative on the 16 October 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of more than 6 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
