Stroud District - Temporary Road Closures due to Utility and Maintenance Works
What is happening?
GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401266 BERWICK HOUSE TO BEAM ENDS
(BISLEY WITH LYPIATT PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
(as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401266 Road, Berwick House to Beam Ends, from outside the property known as ‘The Little House’ to outside the property known as ‘Hillside’ for a distance of approximately 2 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for new gas service works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 21st October 2025 until 24th October 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.
Alternative Route – as signed on site. Pedestrian access to premises on or next to the road, and emergency access, will be maintained.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4070 SLAD ROAD (STROUD TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
(as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4070 Slad Road from its junction with Birches Drive to its junction with
Lansdown for a distance of approximately 400 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works to telegraph poles to provide fibre cabling.
The said road is expected to be closed from 09:30hrs on 20th October 2025 until 14:30hrs on 22nd October 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 501168 FIDGES LANE, EASTCOMBE
(BISLEY WITH LYPIATT PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 501168 Fidges Lane, Eastcombe from its junction with The Green to Fidges Lane to its junction with Middle Hill for a distance of approximately 370 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for overhead electrical works.
The said road is expected to be closed on 6th November 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C209 OLDENDS LANE (STONEHOUSE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C209 Oldends Lane from outside the property known as ‘Fairview’ to outside the property known as ‘Number 22’ for a distance of approximately 250 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works to renew Level Crossing barriers.
The said road is expected to be closed from 23:30hrs on 1st November 2025 until 08:30hrs on 2nd November 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.
Alternative Route – as signed on site. Emergency access will be maintained. Pedestrian access will not be maintained due to safety reasons.
