Suffolk -Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility and Infrastructure Works

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C677 REDE ROAD, HAWKEDON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C677 Rede Road, Hawkedon from 340 metres northeast of the road from the C677 to Hawkedon House for 30 metres north eastbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Rede Road, Cocks Road, Mill Road, the B1066, Somerton Road, Lower Street, the road southeast from the C681, the road from the C676 to the C675 and the C677 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 15/10/2025 from 8am - 6pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C427 ROADS BOUNDING BEYTON GREEN

AND THE U4930 CANGLES LANE, BEYTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. C427 Roads Bounding Beyton Green, Beyton from the junction with Bury Road to the junction with Thurston Road

2. U4930 Cangles Lane, Beyton from the junction with Church Road to Beyton Lodge.

This is to facilitate installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. The Green, Roads Bounding Beyton Green and vice versa

2. Church Road, Roads Bounding Beyton Green, Drinkstone Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

1. 15/10/2025 - 28/10/2025

2. 28/10/2025 - 30/10/2025.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8000 RUSHBROOKE LANE, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8000 Rushbrooke Lane, Bury St Edmunds from Avondale to the junction with Newlands Industrial Estate to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be North Hill, Sicklesmere Road, Southgate Green, Rougham Road, Rougham Hill and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/10/2025 - 17/10/2025. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3305 LOWER ROAD AND

THE U3303 CHAPEL LANE AND HALF MOON LANE, GRUNDISBURGH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. U3305 Lower Road, Grundisburgh from the junction with Chapel Lane to the junction with Grundisburgh Road

2. U3330 Chapel Lane, Grundisburgh from the junction with Lower Road to the junction with Chapel Road

3. U3330 Half Moon Lane, Grundisburgh from the junction with Meeting Lane to the junction with Woodbridge Road.

This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. Lower Road, Chapel Road, Half Moon Lane, Woodbridge Road and vice versa

2. Chapel Road, Lower Road and vice versa

3. Woodbridge Road, Lower Road, Chapel Lane, Chapel Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

1. 15/10/2025 - 22/10/2025

2. 22/10/2025 - 29/10/2025

3. 30/10/2025 - 07/11/2025.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C315 CHURCH ROAD,

U3409 ROAD 3409 FROM C312 TO U3410 AND U3307 BEALINGS LANE,

HASKETON AND GREAT BEALINGS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. C315 Church Road, Hasketon from the junction with Riverside to the junction with Blacksmiths Road

2. U3409 Road 3409 from C312 to U3410, Hasketon from the junction with Low Road to the junction with Chimney Pot Lane, and

3. U3307 Bealings Lane, Great Bealings from the junction with Hall Farm Road to the junction with Grundisburgh Road.

This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. Shrubbery Road, Manor Road, Blacksmiths Road and vice versa

2. Hall Farm Road, Rosery Lane, Lodge Road, the C324, Grundisburgh Road and vice versa

3. Chimney Pot Lane, Boulge Road, Low Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

1. 15/10/2025 - 21/10/2025

2. 23/10/2025 - 29/10/2025

3. 23/10/2025 - 29/10/2025.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1152 WILFORD BRIDGE, MELTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1152 Wilford Bridge, Melton from the level crossing for 20 metres westbound and 20 metres eastbound to facilitate level crossing maintenance. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1152, the B1069, the B1078, the A12, the A1152 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

1. 10pm on 24/10/2025 – 6am on 29/10/2025

2. 7pm on 09/11/2025 – 6am on 10/11/2025

3. 8pm on 05/12/2025 – 6pm on 06/12/2025.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C651 LIVERMERE ROAD, TIMWORTH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C651 Livermere Road, Timworth from Timworth Hall for 120 metres westbound to facilitate pole testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the road from the C647, the B1106, the A143, Brand Road, Bury Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 15/10/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
