Horsey Lane - Temporary Road Closure due to Chamber and Cover Replacement Works

Temporary Closure of Horsey Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Horsey Lane - from 289 metres north-west from the junction with Horsey Dairy Approach, along the right-hand side of the fork, for a total distance of 73 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to replace a chamber and cover.
The Order becomes effective on 28th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 3rd November 2025 and last until 5th November 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
