Priory Crescent & Goldsmith Avenue - Amendment To Parking Restrictions
What is happening?
AMENDMENT TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS, PRIORY CRESCENT & GOLDSMITH AVENUE
1. Notice is hereby given that the Portsmouth City Council made the above order on 16 October 2025. The effect of the Order would be:
a) To extend the time limit on the parking bays on the east and south sides of Priory Crescent from the current "GB Permit holder or parking limited to 3 hours, no return within 4 hours" to "GB Permit holder or parking limited to 4 hours, no return within 4 hours".
b) To extend the time limit on the parking bays on the north side of Goldsmith Avenue (between Priory Crescent and Milton Road) from the current "MI Permit holder or parking limited to 3 hours, no return within 4 hours" to "MI Permit holder or parking limited to 4 hours, no return within 4 hours".

3. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of the Order, make application for this purpose to the High Court.

4. This order comes into operation on 24th October 2025.
