RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (GWAUNMISKIN ROAD, BEDDAU) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) NOTICE 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon
Taff County Borough Council, intends, not less than 7
days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order
under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum
duration of eighteen months.
Following a detailed review of traffic and transportation
provision in the immediate vicinity of Bryn Celynnog
Comprehensive School. The Council has identified a
requirement to widen a section of footway on
Gwaunmiskin Road, Beddau to allow sufficient room
for pedestrians to navigate this section of highway
during busy periods.
To safely permit this section of footway to be widened;
the Council must implement waiting restrictions to
ensure that vehicles are able to flow freely along this
section of highway
The following vehicles are exempt from the restrictions:
• Fire and Rescue, Ambulance or Police
• Vehicles in connection with the building works
• Postal Services
• Disabled Badge Holders
• Utility and Highway Works
• Council or those undertaking statutory duties
• Funeral or weddings
The effect of the Order will be as follows:-
1. Temporary Traffic Order Suspension
The “Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council
(Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and
On Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2012”
shall have the items outlined below suspended for the
duration of this order:-
Schedule 1, Part 1 Gwaun Miskin Road (B4595)
Beddau of the “Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough
Council (B4595 Llantrisant Road and Gwaun miskin
Road, Beddau) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1999”
2. Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time
The southern side of Gwaunmiskin Road, Beddau from
the common boundary of No. 52 and 54 Gwaunmiskin
Road westwards to the common boundary of No. 56
Gwaunmiskin Road and No. 2 Llantrisant Road. A
distance of approximately 35 metres
3. Prohibition of Waiting and Loading (Monday –
Friday inclusive 2:30pm to 4:00pm)
The south western side of Gwaunmiskin Road, Beddau
from the common boundary of No. 52 and 54
Gwaunmiskin Road in a general south-easterly
direction to the common boundary of No. 44 and 46
Gwaunmiskin Road. A distance of approximately 47
metres
4. Bus Stop
The north eastern side of Gwaunmiskin Road, from the
southern boundary of Cartref in a general south
easterly direction to the common boundary of Beddau
Playschool and Gwaunmiskin Road Surgery. A
distance of approximately 37 metres.
Access for emergency services, pedestrians and to
premises will be maintained.
The restrictions are expected to be in operation from
3rd November 2025 for 18 months

DYMA HYSBYSIAD bod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol
Rhondda Cynon Taf yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn,
ar ôl o leiaf 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad yma, o
dan Adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd
1984, fel y'i diwygiwyd gan Ddeddf Traffig Ffyrdd
(Cyfyngiadau Dros Dro) 1991, a fydd yn para deunaw
mis ar y mwyaf.
Yn dilyn adolygiad manwl o'r ddarpariaeth traffig a
chludiant yng nghyffiniau Ysgol Gyfun Bryn Celynnog,
mae'r Cyngor wedi nodi bod angen lledu rhan o’r llwybr
troed ar Heol Gwaunmeisgyn, Beddau i sicrhau bod
digon o le i gerddwyr ddefnyddio'r rhan hon o'r briffordd
yn ystod cyfnodau prysur.
Er mwyn cynnal y gwaith yma ar y rhan hon o'r llwybr
troed yn ddiogel; rhaid i'r Cyngor gyflwyno cyfyngiadau
aros i sicrhau bod cerbydau'n gallu symud yn
ddidrafferth ar hyd y rhan hon o'r briffordd
Mae'r cerbydau canlynol wedi'u heithrio o'r
cyfyngiadau: -
