CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE (CARLIOL SQUARE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

What is happening?
- NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984.
2. The effect of the Order is to
(a)prohibit all vehicles from loading / unloading at any time on the length of highway set out in Schedule 1 to this notice, and
(b)suspend existing on street parking restrictions on the length of highway set out in Schedule 2 to this notice.
3.The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4.Exemptions will be provided for any police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles on emergency call.
5.The Order will come into operation on 31 October 2025 and will continue, as and when the relevant road markings and signs are displayed, for up to 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
