THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (MAYFIELD ROAD, CARLTON)(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2025 (G25-157)
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Carlton in the Borough of Gedling The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Mayfield Road, Carlton - From its junction with Highfield Drive in a southerly direction for 150 metres
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Mayfield Road, Carlton - From its junction with Highfield Drive in a southerly direction for 150 metres
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours Tuesday 28th October 2025
Until 17:00 hours Friday 31st October 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Carlton Hill - Standhill Road - Highfield Drive and vice versa
The Order will come into force on Saturday 28th October 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
