THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL(OAKS LANE, OXTON)(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2025 (N25-336)

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Oxton in the District of Newark and Sherwood.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road a. Oaks Lane, Oxton - From its junction with Old Rufford Road, Calverton to its junction with Oxton Bye Pass, Oxton.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road

a. Oaks Lane, Oxton - From its junction with Old Rufford Road, Calverton to its junction with Oxton Bye Pass, Oxton.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 08:00 hours Monday 20th October 2025

Until 17:00 hours Friday 14th November 2025 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

Old Rufford Road - Ollerton Road and vice versa The Order will come into force on 20th October 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
