What is happening?

WRENINGHAM – U78013 Wymondham Road from its junction with U760911 Ashwellthorpe Road for 350m westwards to facilitate air valve relocation works from 15th to 17th October 2025 (may continue until 28th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Wymondham Road, Silfield Street, Silfield Road, The Street, Gravel Pit Hill, Ashwellthorpe Road (Wreningham, Wymondham, Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall, Spooner Row). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

The team dealing with enquiries at Norfolk County Council is South Streetworks.

BARTON BENDISH – Barton Bendish Footpath 8 from its joining with C45 Stoke Ferry Road for 1330m northwards to facilitate new pipe installation works to ensure customer supply from 13th to 24th October 2025 (may continue until 5th December 2025). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

BRANCASTER – U22161 London Street from 125m north of its junction with A149 Main Road for 30m northwards to facilitate new electrical connection installation works from 13th to 17th October 2025 (may continue until 28th November 2025). Alternative route is via: London Street, Main Road, Broad Lane, Butchers Lane. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

CASTLE ACRE – C66 Peddars Way from 200m north of its junction with C64 West Acre Road for 200m northwards to facilitate pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 16th October 2025 (may continue until 27th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Peddars Way, Archer Lane, Rougham Road, Castle Acre Road, Lynn Road, Litcham Road (Great Massingham, Rougham, Castle Acre). The works promoter is BT.

DOWNHAM MARKET – A1122 Southery Bypass from its junction with A10 Lynn Road for 688m westwards to facilitate new roundabout construction works from 13th to 17th October 2025 (may continue until 28th November 2025). Alternative route is via: A10 Lynn Road/Fordham Bypass, Main Road, Ely Road, Ferry Bank, Fen Rivers Way, Lynn Road, A1122 Wisbech Road, Wash Road, Main Street, Wisbech Road, Welney Road, Townsend Road, New Road, Town Street, Rectory Road, Lowside, Isle Road, Downham Road, Bridge Road, Bartons Drove, A1122 Western Bypass/Southery Bypass (Downham West, Nordelph, Denver, Downham Market, Southery, Littleport, Hilgay, Fordham, Ryston, Welney, Outwell, Upwell). The works promoter is C J Rust.

EMNETH – C14 Lady’s Drove from 50m south of its junction with C19 Walsoken Road for 50m southwards to facilitate fire hydrant replacement works from 13th to 15th October 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Lady’s Drove, Walsoken Road, Edge Bank, Hungate Road, Gaultree Square (Walsoken, Emneth, Marshland St James). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

KING’S LYNN – 2F139/10 Plantation Way from 5m south of its junction with 2F141/10 Radcliffe Way for 20m southwards to facilitate void repair works on 15th October 2025 (previously 24th September to 14th October 2025) (may continue until 23rd March 2026). Alternative route is via: Plantation Way, Swallowfield Road, Radcliffe Way. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

SHOULDHAM – U21365 New Road from its junction with U23347 Hallfields for 50m northwards to facilitate new power connection works from 13th to 17th October 2025 (may continue until 28th November 2025). Alternative route is via: New Road, Fairstead Drove, Westgate Street, Lynn Road, Eastgate Street. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

SOUTH CREAKE – C336A Walsingham Road from its junction with B1355 Church Street for 15m eastwards to facilitate patching works between 08:00 and 16:00 from 13th to 14th October 2025 (may continue until 25th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Church Street, Wells Road, Quarriers Road (South Creake, Holkham, North Creake). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

WALSOKEN – U21114 Church Road from 240m west of its junction with U21707 Burrett Road for 20m westwards to facilitate new water connection works from 15th to 17th October 2025 (may continue until 28th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Church Road, Burrett Road, Chapnall Road, Kirkgate Street (Walsoken, Wisbech). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

WATLINGTON – U21321 Plough Lane from its junction with U21320 Mill Road for 165m eastwards to facilitate resurfacing works from 13th October to 2nd November 2025 (may continue until 14th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Plough Lane, Lynn Road, Mill Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

WIGGENHALL ST. GERMANS – Wiggenhall St Germans Footpath 14 from its junction with U21311 Peter’s Drove Bridge to its junction with C10 Sluice Road to facilitate desilting works from 12th October to 21st December 2025 (may continue until 11th April 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Middle Level Commissioners.

WIMBOTSHAM – C884 Lynn Road from 40m northeast of its junction with C788 Church Road for 30m north-eastwards to facilitate new water connection works from 14th to 16th October 2025 (may continue until 27th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Lynn Road, A10 Downham-Wimbotsham Bypass, Bexwell Road (Downham Market, Wimbotsham). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the date on the start date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
