TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

I) THEY PROPOSE TO Make Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

BECKHAM EAST AND WEST – C528 Church Road from 250m east of its junction with C309 Long Lane for 50m eastwards to facilitate telegraph testing and tree cutting works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 24th October 2025 (may continue until 5th December 2025). Alternative route is via: C528 Church Road/Beckham Palace Road, C308 Mill Road, C623 Red Barn Lane, C302 Gibbet Lane, A148 Holt Road/Cromer Road, C528 The Street (East Beckham, Gresham, Upper Sheringham, West Beckham, Bodham).

GREAT AND LITTLE PLUMSTEAD – C258 Hare Road from its junction with Broad Lane to its junction with Church Road to facilitate new drainage system and outfall installation works from 20th October 2025 to 16th January 2026 (may continue until 16th July 2026). Alternative route is via: Broad Lane, Reeves Corner, Plumstead Road, Green Lane North, Middle Road (Thorpe St. Andrew, Great and Little Plumstead). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council. NB: These works are to be carried out in two phases. Phase 1 will be carried out from 20th to 25th October 2025. Phase 2 will be carried out from 17th November 2025 to 16th January 2026.

GREAT YARMOUTH – 1) B1141 Fullers Hill/Priory Plain from its junction with A149 Acle New Road to its junction with C621 Saint Nicholas Road; and 2) C610 Market Place from its junction with B1141 Fullers Hill to its junction with U60304 The Conge to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works. Road 1 will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and Road 2 shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (northbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both a northerly and southerly direction between 19:00 and 06:00 from 20th to 26th October 2025 (may continue until 7th December 2025). HAPPISBURGH – U19098 Grub Street from 100m north of its junction with U19183 Lanes End for 800m northwards to facilitate new electrical connection works from 20th to 24th October 2025 (may continue until 5th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Grub Street, North Walsham Road, B1159 Stalham Road, Vicarage Road, Happisburgh Road, Grub Street (East Ruston, Happisburgh, Walcott). HELHOUGHTON – C333 Fakenham Road from its junction with C337 Common Road for 800m north eastwards to facilitate telegraph pole testing works between 08:00 and 17:00 from 21st to 22nd October 2025 (may continue until 5th December 2025). LETHERINGSETT WITH GLANDFORD & CLEY-NEXT-THE-SEA – U14287 Glandford Road from its junction with U14411 Hurdle Lane for 124m northwards to facilitate telegraph pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 24th October 2025 (may continue until 5th December 2025).
