MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC146088433: The City of Manchester (Ashlyn Grove & Ashdene Road, Withington Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Ashlyn Grove & Ashdene Road. The alternative routes for traffic on Ashdene Road will be: School Grove, Brookleigh Road, Stephens Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Footway Reconstruction. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 3rd November 2025 to 14th November 2025. The order shall come into operation on 3rd November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham. MCC146117740: The City of Manchester (Southlea Road, Burnage Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Southlea Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: (1) Southlea Road, Southbank Road, Kingsway, Briarfield Road, Parrs Wood Road vice versa (2) Southlea Road, Parrs Wood Road, Westcroft Road, Kingsway. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate replacing a manhole and cover in carriageway with permanent reinstatement. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 31st October 2025 between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00. The order shall come into operation on the 31st October 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
