What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
A250 Queenborough Road, Halfway, ME12 3BE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A250 Queenborough Road, Halfway from 2nd November 2025, for up to one day between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Holmside Avenue and Southdown Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A250 Halfway Road, High Street, Millennium Way, Bridge Road, A249 Brielle Way and A250 Queenborough Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Breach Lane, Upchurch, ME9 7PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Breach Lane, Upchurch from 30th October 2025, with estimated completion by 8th November 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Hartlip Hill and Domalee, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 Hartlip Hill, London Road, Moor Street, Otterham Quay Lane (Rainham), Otterham Quay Lane (Upchurch), Horsham Lane, The Street, Forge Lane, Breach Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Breach Lane, Upchurch, ME9 7PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Breach Lane, Upchurch from 13th November 2025, for up to one day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Boxted Lane and Bricklands, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Boxted Lane, School Lane, Church Lane, A2 High Street, A2 London Road, A2 Hartlip Hill, Breach Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bricklands, Newington, ME9 7PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bricklands, Newington from 27th October 2025, with estimated completion by 29th October 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Breach Lane and Breach Farm Bungalow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Breach Lane, Boxted Lane, Bricklands and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Lane, Newington, ME9 7JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025
To allow bridge examination works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Lane, Newington from 22:00 hours on 13th November 2025, with estimated completion by 06:00 hours on 14th November 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 High Street, London Road, Hartlip Hill, Breach Lane, Boxted Lane, School Lane, Church Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lower Hartlip Road, Hartlip, ME9 7SR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Hartlip Road, Hartlip from 27th October 2025, with estimated completion by 31st October 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Old House Lane and 1 Paradise Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Hartlip Road, A2 Hartlip Hill, Mill Lane, The Street, Mount Lane, Lower Hartlip Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lower Road, Buckland. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025
To allow inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Road, Buckland from 01:45 hours on 2nd November 2025, with estimated completion by 04:00 hours on 3rd November 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Norton Lane, A2 London Road, B2045 Western Link, Bysing Wood Road, Luddenham Hill, Bysing Wood Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Monkshill Road, Hernhill. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Monkshill Road, Hernhill. The first closure will take place on 2nd November 2025, between the hours of 01:45 and 10:00. The second closure will take place from 23:00 hours on 2nd November 2025, with estimated completion by 04:00 hours on 3rd November 2025.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A299 Thanet Way, Thanet Way, Clapham Hill, Borstal Hill, Joy Lane, Faversham Road, Seasalter Road and Monkshill Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Pond Farm Road, Borden, ME9 8JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025
To allow installation works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pond Farm Road, Borden from 10th November 2025, with estimated completion by 12th November 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Parish Church and number 2, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wises Lane, A2 Key Street, Key Street Roundabout, Chestnut Street, Maidstone Road, Oad Street, Pond Farm Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Russell Place, Oare, ME13 0QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Russell Place, Oare from 27th October 2025, with estimated completion by 31st October 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Uplees Road, Oare. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Uplees Road, Oare from 28th October 2025 with estimated completion by 29th October 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 300m north of the entrance to Broomfield Barn, heading approximately 100m in a northerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Upper St Anns Road, Faversham, ME13 8QP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Upper St Anns Road, Faversham from 00:30 hours on 2nd November 2025, with estimated completion by 04:00 hours on 3rd November 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
