MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
What is happening?
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC145970566: The City of Manchester (Barnstead Avenue, Withington Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Barnstead Avenue. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate de-looping houses so they have own electricity supply. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 27th October 2025 to the 7th November 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 27th October 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 16th October 2025. ORDER NO. MCC146160293: The City of Manchester (Various Roads, Charlestown Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on( 1) Evesham Road - Charlestown Road to Southdown Crescent (2) Southdown Crescent - Evesham Road to Charlestown Road (3) Weybourne Avenue - Evesham Road to its cul-de-sac-end. The alternativeroutes for traffic will be: Signed Locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate footway resurfacing works.. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 27th October 2025 to 14th November 2025. The order shall come into operation on 27th October 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
