Maidstone, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

 

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

MAIDSTONE AREA

 

A20 London Road, Allington (SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE & SUSPENSION OF BUS LANE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telecoms mast testing and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane and bus lane on part of A20 London Road, Allington on or after 14th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The cycle lane and bus lane will be temporarily suspended opposite property number 195 for approximately 130 metres in a West direction, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

B2162 Collier Street, Collier Street, TN12 9RT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Collier Street, Collier Street, on or after 13th November 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the entrance to the recreation ground car park. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Collier Street, Green Lane, Pattenden Lane, B2079 West End, B2079 Goudhurst Road, B2079 Winchet Hill, B2079 Summerhill, Ballards Hill, Goudhurst Road, The Heath, B2162 Maidstone Road, B2162 Claygate, B2162 Collier Street and vice versa.

 

Babylon Lane, Sutton Valence (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow vegetation clearance and bridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Babylon Lane, Sutton Valence, on or after 29th October 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the bridge, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Babylon Lane, Forsham Lane, A274 Headcorn Road, New Barn Road, Babylon Lane and vice versa.

 

Darman Lane, Laddingford, ME18 6DG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Darman Lane, Laddingford, on or after 12th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Moonrakers, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Darman Lane, Queen Street, Mile Oak Road, Pearsons Green Road, Churn Lane, B2162 Maidstone Road, B2162 Claygate, B2162 Collier Street, Jarmons Lane, Claygate Road and vice versa.

 

Goddington Lane, Harrietsham, ME17 1JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Goddington Lane, Harrietsham, on or after 30th October 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the Railway Bridge and property named Little Goddington. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.

 

Headcorn Road, Ulcombe (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new customer service works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Headcorn Road, Ulcombe, on or after 13th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Willows, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Headcorn Road, The Street, Ulcombe Hill, Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Ulcombe Road, Crumps Lane, Headcorn Road and vice versa.

 

Otham Street, Otham, ME15 8RL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new water main connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Otham Street, Otham, on or after 27th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Lilac Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Otham Street, Simmonds Lane, Honey Lane, New Road, A274 Sutton Road, Willington Street, A20 Ashford Road, Otham Lane, Green Hill, Otham Street and vice versa.

 

Upper Fant Road, Maidstone, ME16 8JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water pipe works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Upper Fant Road, Maidstone, on or after 10th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 272. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Upper Fant Road, Hackney Road, Fant Lane, Gatland Lane, Farleigh Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, St Michaels Road and vice versa.

 

Water Lane, Headcorn (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, Headcorn, on or after 14th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Brook Wood Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Water Lane, Moat Road, A274 North Street, A274 High Street, A274 Station Road, A274 Wheeler Street, A274 Biddenden Road, A274 Biddenden Road From Hall Barn Farm To Tile Barn Farm, A274 Biddenden Road, A274 Headcorn Road From Frittenden Road To Borough Boundary, Bell Lane, Frittenden Road, Hareplain Road, Dig Dog Lane, Cranbrook Road, The Street, Headcorn Road, Water Lane and vice versa.

 

Well Street, Loose, ME17 4XH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Well Street, Loose, on or after 13th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Old Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Forstal Lane, Stockett Lane, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Road, Old Loose Hill, High Banks, Well Street and vice versa.

 

Yelsted Lane, Yelsted, ME9 7UT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Yelsted Lane, Yelsted, on or after 10th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Guildstead Court. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Yelsted Road, Yaugher Lane, Magpie Lane, Cox Street, Yelsted Lane and vice versa.
