Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
A259 Earls Avenue & Earls Avenue, Folkestone, CT20 2PN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A259 Earls Avenue & Earls Avenue, Folkestone, on or after 10th November 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
A259 Earls Avenue will be closed between the junctions of Westbourne Gardens and A2033 Sandgate Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Earls Avenue will be closed between the junctions of A2033 Sandgate Road and The Leas, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A2033 Sandgate Road, A2033 Castle Hill Avenue, Castle Hill Avenue, A259 Shorncliffe Road and A259 Earls Avenue.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A259 Sandgate Road, Metropole Road East, The Leas and Earls Avenue.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2064 Beachborough Road, Folkestone, CT19 4AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2064 Beachborough Road, Folkestone, on or after 29th October 2025 until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 20, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2064 Beachborough Road, B2064 Shorncliffe Road, A259 Shorncliffe Road, A259 Castle Hill Avenue, A259 Cheriton Road, A2034 Cheriton Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
alma Road, Folkestone, CT20 3LY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alma Road, Folkestone, on or after 10th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of B2063 Risborough Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Royal Military Avenue, Church Road, B2063 Risborough Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bargrove, Newington (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bargrove, Newington, on or after 27th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Blackhouse Hill and A20 Ashford Road, between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, A20 Sandling Road, A20 Ashford Road, B2068 Stanford Intersection, A20 Ashford Road, A261 Hythe Road, A261 London Road, A259 Military Road, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Rampart Road, A259 Prospect Road, Station Road, Blackhouse Hill and Bargrove.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Bargrove, Blackhouse Hill, Station Road, A259 Prospect Road, A259 Rampart Road, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Scanlons Bridge, A261 London Road, A261 Hythe Road, A20 Ashford Road, B2068 Stanford Intersection, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Sandling Road and A20 Ashford Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bossingham Road, Stelling Minnis (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bossingham Road, Stelling Minnis, on or after 29th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
A mandatory 30MPH speed limit will be imposed on part of Bossingham Road, outside Harvest Lane. The approaches and exits to this area will have a mandatory 40MPH speed limit imposed, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Dental Street, Hythe, CT21 5JH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dental Street, Hythe, on or after 29th October 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Marples to outside Moray, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dental Street, Station Road, A259 Prospect Road, Rampart Road, High Street, Malthouse Hill, Bartholomew Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Droveway, Stelling Minnis, CT4 6AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree cutting to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Droveway, Stelling Minnis, on or after 27th October 2025 for up to 7 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Elham Park Lodge for approximately 392m in a Northwesterly direction, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Minnis, Gate Lane, Chapel Lane, Mount Top, Clavertye and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Granville Parade & Parade Road, Sandgate, CT20 3BU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & REVERSAL OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Granville Parade & Parade Road, Sandgate, on or after 27th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
Granville Parade will be closed from the junction of Granville Road West to the rear of The Ship Inn, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order for Parade Road will be reversed to allow through traffic in a Northerly direction only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A259 Sandgate High Street, Granville Road East and Granville Parade.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Moorstock Lane, Sellindge, TN25 6EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Moorstock Lane, Sellindge, on or after 27th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Cock Ash Lane to outside number 1 Windsor Cottage, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Moorstock Lane, A20 Main Road, Swan Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sycamore Close, Lydd, TN29 9LB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sycamore Close, Lydd, on or after 27th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 3, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Tillery Lane, Brookland, TN29 9UX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow culvert maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tillery Lane, Brookland, on or after 10th November 2025 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 15m either side of the culvert carrying Tillery Lane over St Thomas Innings watercourse, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Barnhouse Lane, Tickners Lane, A259 Rhee Wall, Tillery Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The Fairway, Littlestone, TN28 8PH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Fairway, Littlestone, on or after 30th October 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Marlborough Close for approximately 20m in a Northerly direction, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Fairway, Blenheim Road, Cherry Gardens and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

(WAITING RESTRICTIONSAND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER
(AMENDMENT No.2) ORDER 2025
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-
This Order shall come into operation on the 27th day of October and may be cited as “The Kent County Council (Various Roads, Folkestone and Hythe) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order (Amendment No.2) Order 2025” (‘this Order’)
The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply to this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
Without prejudice to the validity of anything done or to any liability incurred in respect of any act or omission before the coming into operation of this Order, ‘The Kent County Council (Various Roads, Folkestone and Hythe) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2025’ (‘the Order of 2025’) shall have effect as though:
The Order revises the parking and waiting restrictions in the following roads: Ingles Road, Christ Church Road (between Bouverie Road West and Ingles Road), Manor Road (between Bouverie Road West and Ingles Road)
Between 8am and 6pm, Mondays - Sundays (including bank and publicholidays), parking will be restricted to Permit Holders (A1) only in Ingles Road
Parking places with a time limit of 1 hour (no return within two hours) between 8am and 6pm Mondays - Sundays (including bank and public holidays) - except for Permit Holders (A1) - will be provided in Christ Church Road and Manor Road.
Permits will be available to a resident of the roads mentioned abovein this Notice, and to any business or organisation with vehicle(s) essential to its operation.
Waiting will be prohibited at all times in any part of the road mentioned abovein this Notice where parking is not allowed.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Notice or of any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Notice was published, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
