Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

 

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

ASHFORD AREA

 

A20 Hythe Road, Ashford, TN24 8AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A20 Hythe Road, Ashford from 27th October 2025, with estimated completion by 29th October 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 46, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A292 Mace Lane, Somerset Road, North Street, A2042 Canterbury Road, A28 Canterbury Road, A2070 Willesborough Road, Kennington Road, Willesborough Interchange, A2070 M20 J10 Roundabout, A2070 Spur From M20 J10, A292 Hythe Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

A262 Tenterden Road, Biddenden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A262 Tenterden Road, Biddenden from 30th October 2025, with estimated completion by 31st October 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Hornbeams and Rovael, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A262 Tenterden Road, Biddenden Road, High Halden Lane, A28 Ashford Road, Grange Road, Silver Hill, Beacon Oak Road, East Cross, High Street, West Cross, Rolvenden Road, Rolvenden Hill, Hastings Road, A268 Rye Road, Queen Street, Megrims Hill, A229 Cranbrook Road, Gills Green, Slip Mill Lane, Hawkhurst Road, Hartley Road, Angley Road, Wheatfield Way, Wilsley Green, Wilsley Pound, A262 Sissinghurst Road and The Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Barhams Mill Road, Egerton, TN27 9BT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Barhams Mill Road, Egerton from 31st October 2025, with estimated completion by 25th November 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Barham Mill Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Southernden Road, Grigg Lane, Shearway Lane, Bedlam Lane, Forstal Road, Crocken Hill Road, Barhams Mill Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Boys Hall Road, Willesborough, TN24 0UG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Boys Hall Road, Willesborough from 12th November 2025, with estimated completion by 13th November 2025 between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Little Boys Hall and the junction with Sevington Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sevington Lane, Church Road, A292 Hythe Road, A2070 Spur From M20 J10, A2070 M20 J10 Roundabout, Willesborough Interchange, M20 Junction 10 From Junction 9 Off Slip, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, A2070 From M20 J10 Roundabout To J A2042 S, A2070 From J A2042 To M20 J10 Roundabout N, The Boulevard, Crowbridge Road, Crowbridge Link, Canterbury Road, Boys Hall Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Canterbury Lane, Hastingleigh, TN25 5HU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Canterbury Lane, Hastingleigh from 10th November 2025, with estimated completion by 14th November 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Vigo Farmhouse, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Canterbury Lane, Waltham Road, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Cheesemans Green Lane, Kingsnorth. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow vegetation clearance and bridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Cheesemans Green Lane, Kingsnorth from 28th October 2025, for up to one day between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cheesemans Green Lane, Feather Bed Lane, Chequer Tree Farm Road, Brockmans Lane, Finn Farm Road, Rutledge Avenue and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Finn Farm Road & Violet Way, Kingsnorth. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow Section 278 works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Finn Farm Road & Violet Way, Kingsnorth from 28th October 2025, with estimated completion by 31st October 2025, or until the works have been completed.

Finn Farm Road & Violet Way will be closed at the junctions where they meet, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for through traffic is via:

Diversion A - Violet Way, Poppy Mead, Bluebell Road, Sheepfold Lane, Saw Lodge Field, Forestall Meadow, Park Farm Estate Roundabout, Ashford Road, Church Hill and Finn Farm Road.

Diversion B - Church Hill, Ashford Road, Hamstreet Road, Bromley Green Road, Capel Road, Stone Cross Road, Brockmans Lane and Finn Farm Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Westwell Lane, Westwell. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Westwell Lane, Westwell from 14th November 2025 with estimated completion by 17th November 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Wootton Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Westwell Lane, Wicken Lane, Ashford Road, A20 Maidstone Road, Westwell Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wootton Lane, Charing. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wootton Lane, Charing from 14th November 2025 with estimated completion by 17th November 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Yew Tree Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Westwell Lane, Wicken Lane, A20 Ashford Road, Wootton Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
