NOTICE OF MAKING ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BACK 13-27 BACUP ROAD, RAWTENSTALL, ROSSENDALE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 06 October 2025 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:

1. Revoke the "Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Rawtenstall Bus Station Area, Rossendale Borough) (Revocation and Various Parking Restrictions) Order 2020" insofar as it relates to:

a) Items s) and t) of Schedule 2;

b) Item e) of Schedule 6;

c) Item b) of Schedule 8.

2. Introduce a prohibition of waiting in Back 13-27 Bacup Road, Rawtenstall, Rossendale, the west side, from its junction with the centreline of Bacup Road for a distance of 47.5 metres in a southerly direction.

This Order will come into force on the 20 October 2025. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Rossendale Borough Council - One Stop Shop, The Business Centre, Futures Park, Newchurch Road, Bacup, OL13 0BB, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roadsparking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulationorders/permanent.aspx, quoting ref: LSG4/894.17591/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
