THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (SIDINGS LANE, BRAMCOTE)(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2025 (BX25-185)
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Bramcote in the Borough of Broxtowe .
The effects of the Order will be:
- Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road: a. Sidings Lane, Bramcote - From its junction with Coventry Lane in a north westerly direction for a distance of 50 metres.
- No vehicle shall proceed at a speed exceeding 30mph miles per hour in the following length of road at A6002 Coventry Lane in the Borough of Broxtowe : - a. A6002 Coventry Lane, Bramcote - From its junction with A6007 Ilkeston Road to its junction with A609 Sharnford Way.
- All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
- The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 07:30 hours on Sunday 26th October 2025 Until 16:00 hours on Sunday 10th November 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
No Possible diversion Available.
The Order will come into force on Sunday 26th October and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Peter James Homes to carry out Section 278 works.
