THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEAD (KELLS LANE, LOW FELL) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Gateshead proposes to make an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from Parking, Waiting, Loading or Stopping on:-

a. Kells Lane - from its junction with Denewell Avenue in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 75 metres,

b. Kells Lane - from a point 10 metres north-east of its junction with Harcourt Street, in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 38 metres,

c. Harcourt Street - North East side - from a point 11 metres south-east of its junction with Kells Lane in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 37 metres, d. Harcourt Street - South West side - from a point 8 metres south-east of its junction with Kells Lane in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 38 metres. The Order is required to facilitate telecom infrastructure works. The Order will come into force on 03 November 2025. The maximum duration of the Order will be 18 months; however, the works are expected to be completed by 06 November 2025. During the works all vehicles (except vehicles associated with the works and emergency service vehicles on duty) will be prohibited from Parking, Waiting, Stopping or Loading along the above roads until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated bythe display of traffic signs.
