Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, DOVER) (SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.2) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as the Act) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order.
The effect of the order would be to reduce the current national speed limit to 40MPH on the following length of roads in Woodnesborough, Dover:-
BEACON LANE – From its junction with Drainless Road for a distance of 840 metres in a north then north easterly direction. DRAINLESS ROAD – From its junction with Beacon Lane and Hammill Road for a distance of 115 metres in a north westerly direction and for a distance of 44 metres in a south easterly direction. HAMMILL ROAD – From its junction with Drainless Road for a distance of 259 metres in a south westerly direction.

SWALE AREA
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, SWALE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024
(AMENDMENT No.24) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to introduce no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Hartlip, Hernhill, Minster on Sea and Sittingbourne, Swale:-
CENTRAL AVENUE – On the east side outside the Town Hall change the existing 24/7 Electric Taxi Recharging Point to 1 hour with no return within 2 hours. HARTLIP HILL – On the south side from its junction with Lower Hartlip Road for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction and 15 metres in an easterly direction. LOWER HARTLIP ROAD – (1) On the west side from its junction with Hartlip Hill for a distance of 115 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the east side from its junction with Hartlip Hill for a distance of 81 metres in a southerly direction. (3) On the east side from the southern boundary of its entrance to Gardening World Limited for a distance of 31 metres in a southerly direction. NOREEN AVENUE – On both sides from its junction with The Broadway for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction. SAXON AVENUE – Remove the existing single yellow lines and replace with double yellow lines on both sides from its junction with The Broadway for a distance of 14 metres in an easterly direction. THANET WAY – On both sides from its junction with Wey Street for a distance of 114 metres in a north easterly direction. THE BROADWAY – (1) Remove the existing single yellow lines and replace with double yellow lines on the east side from its junction with Saxon Avenue for a distance of 17 metres in a northerly direction and 23 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the west side from its junction with Noreen Avenue for a distance of 8 metres in a northerly direction and 19 metres in a southerly direction.

(SPEED LIMITS) (consolidation) ORDER
(AMENDMENT No.1) ORDER 2025
Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby propose to make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:
The effect of the Order will be to implement a 20MPH speed limit on the following length of roads in East Malling, Tonbridge & Malling:
BLACKLANDS – From its junction with Chapman Way to the southern boundary of 110 Blacklands. CLARE LANE – From its junction with Mill Street for a distance of 30 metres in a northwesterly direction. GARNER DRIVE – Full length to the extremity of the highway. STICKENS LANE – From its junction with Mill Street to its junction with Busbridge Close. NEW ROAD – From its junction with Church Walk for a distance of 60 metres in a northerly direction. VIGOR CLOSE – From its junction with Mill Street to number 12 Vigor Close. ADDISON CLOSE, BEECH ROAD, BLATCHFORD CLOSE, BONDFIELD ROAD, BRADBOURNE PARK ROAD, BUSBRIDGE CLOSE, CARNATION CLOSE, CARNATION CRESCENT, CATLYN CLOSE, CHAPMAN WAY, CHATFIELD WAY, CHURCH WALK, COBBETT CLOSE, COLLINGE CLOSE, COLUMBINE CLOSE, COLUMBINE ROAD, COTTENHAM CLOSE, DICKENS DRIVE, EDWARD WALK, ELM CRESCENT, FALSTAFF CLOSE, FORSYTH CLOSE, HOWARD ROAD, JASMINE CLOSE, JASMINE ROAD, LARKSPUR CLOSE, LARKSPUR ROAD, LAVENDER CLOSE, LAVENDER ROAD, LILAC GREEN, LIME CRESCENT, LISTER CLOSE, MERIDIAN PLACE, MIDDLE MILL ROAD, MILL STREET, MORRIS CLOSE, REEVES COURT, ROSEMARY ROAD, RUSKIN CLOSE, SHAFTESBURY CLOSE, TASSELL CLOSE, TEMPLE WAY, THE GRANGE, TWISDEN ROAD, TYLER CLOSE, UPPER MILL, WALPOLE CLOSE and WHIFFEN WALK– For their entire length. THE ROCKS ROAD - Extend the existing limit from the eastern boundary of The Old Coach House for a distance of 255 metres in a south easterly direction.
