LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING NOTICE OF MAKING OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS AFFECTING: HORTUS ROAD, SOUTHALL.

What is happening?

Ealing Council has made the following temporary traffic order under sections 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 4862 Hortus Road, Southall - 2025.
Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve Tide Construction Ltd redeveloping a new site for accommodation and retail units.
Effect of order
1. Waiting, loading and unloading restrictions will be temporarily implemented at the following locations on Hortus Road.
a) Along the northern kerb line including the first 4 parking bays plus one parking bay outside property number 5 (Gills Law). And 2 parking bays along the southern kerb line between Complete Auto Repairs and Bodywork Mechanical Repairs, will have no parking waiting, loading & unloading restrictions in force.
2. The waiting, loading or unloading of vehicles on the extent of Hortus Road, to which the prohibitions and restrictions apply at any time from 9th October 2025 ending 9th October 2026, will be enforced with the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice.
3. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
4. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles must comply with any traffic management measures.
5. This Order does not apply to:

(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).

(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.
Date order will come into force.
9th October 2025
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 8th April 2027 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 9th October 2026, whichever is sooner.
