THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC CHESTNUT AVENUE, HESSLE (WHOLE EXTENT)
What is happening?
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Chestnut Avenue, Hessle (whole extent) commencing Wednesday 29 October 2025 (between 08.30 hours and 17.00 hours) to allow ultrascreed carriageway repair works to take place safely.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 October 2025. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Ferriby Road, South Lane and Station Road, Hessle. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. Access will be maintained for pedestrians, residents and emergency services only.
