What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Swanland Road, Hessle (Boothferry Road junction to approximately 16 metres along the left onto Swanland Road from Boothferry Road) commencing Thursday 30  October 2025 to allow for a pole swap using MWEP and HIAB.
(NO WEEKEND WORKING). The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4 November 2025.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Boothferry Road, Swanland Road and Humber Bridge Roundabout, Hessle. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. Access will be maintained for pedestrians, residents and emergency services only.
