What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to a special Event being held, Halton Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, the above named temporary Order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994.

Road(s) affected:

Roads to be Closed Hours of Closure
High Street, Hale 10:00 - 12:00
Church End, Hale 10:00 - 12:00
Church Road, Hale 10:00 - 12:00
Greenway Road, Runcorn14:30 - 15:45

Reason for making the Order: the Council is satisfied that the Order is needed to facilitate the holding of an Event known as Remembrance Sunday Effect of the Order: during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in or along the road and no person shall during the works period enter or proceed in or along the road.

Alternative Routes where available suitably signed alternative route(s) will be provided Date Order to come into effect: 9 November 2025 Maximum duration of the Order: 3 days from the date from the date the Order comes into effect.
Note: The closure is for remembrance Sunday. The closure is planned for 1 day between the above hours.
