What is happening?

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Isles of Scilly intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic on the below mentioned roads during the period of the below mentioned event.

Event: Islands' Partnership Christmas Market

Roads Affected: Hugh Street, Jerusalem Terrace, The Parade, and part of Garrison Lane.

As a result of this prohibition the following measures will take effect: -

Full Closure of Hugh Street 16:00 - 20:00 on 05/12/2025

Full Closure of The Parade 17:30pm-19:30pm on 05/12/2025

Partial Closure of Garrison Lane, up to Wesleyan Chapel 17:30pm - 19:30pm on 05/12/2025

Temporary suspension of one-way traffic along Jerusalem Terrace to allow access to and from St Marys Quay 16:00 - 20:00 on 05/12/2025

The Order will come into operation on 5th December 2025 16:00pm
