THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS LOCATIONS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) ORDER 2025 (M25-134)
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire
County Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in
respect of roads at Mansfield and Forest Town in the
District of Mansfield
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the
following length of road:
a. Barringer Road, Mansfield - From its junction with
Mossdale Road to its junction with Old Mill Lane
b. Old Mill Lane, Forest Town - From its junction with
Barringer Road to its junction with Clipstone Road
West.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and
unloading in the following length of road
a. Barringer Road, Mansfield (Both Sides) - From its
junction with Mossdale Road to its junction with
Old Mill Lane
b. Old Mill Lane, Forest Town (Both Sides) - From
its junction with Barringer Road to its junction with
Clipstone Road West
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above
road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00 Monday 27th October, 2025
Until 15:30, Wednesday 19th Novemeber, 2025
Inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during
the period of restriction the alternative route available will
be:
a. Barringer Road, Old Mill Lane, Clipstone Road West,
Ravensdale Road, Barringer Road & vice versa
b. Old Mill Lane, Leeming Lane South, New Mill Lane,
Sandlands Way, Old Mill Lane & vice versa
Or - Old Mill Lane, Clipstone Road West, New Mill Lane,
Sandlands Way, Old Mill Lane & vice versa
The Order will come into force on Monday 27th October,
2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and
any subsequent day when necessary to enable works
to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until
the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18
months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands
on Behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out
Mastic Carriageway Patching repairs
