THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL(VARIOUS ROADS, KIRKLINGTON, FARNSFIELD & BILSTHORPE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (N25-330)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire
County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
in respect of roads at Kirklington, Farnsfield and
Bilsthorpe in the District of Newark and Sherwood.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the
following length of road:
a. A617 Lockwell Hill, Farnsfield - From its junction with
Old Rufford Road to its junction with Cockett Lane.
b. A617 Kirklington Road, Kirklington - From its junction
with Cockett Lane to its junction with Southwell Road
c. Cockett Lane, Farnsfield - From its junction with A617
Kirklington Road for a distance of 30 metres in a southerly
direction
d. Farnsfield Road, Bilsthorpe - From its junction with
A617 Kirklington Road for a distance of 30 metres in a
northerly direction
e. Brackner Lane, Bilsthorpe - From its junction with
A617 Kirklington Road for a distance of 30 metres in a
northerly direction
f. Kirklington Road, Bilsthorpe - From its junction with
A617 Kirklington Road for a distance of 30 metres in a
northerly direction
g. Eakring Road, Kirklington - From its junction with A617
Kirklington Road for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly
direction
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above
road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00 hours on Monday 20th October 2025
Until 06:00 hours on Monday 10th November 2025
nightly.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during
the period of restriction the alternative route available will
be:
a. A617 - A46 - A6097 - A614 - Vice Versa
b. A617 - A46 - A6097 - A614 - Vice Versa
c. Cockett Lane - Mansfield Road - Main Street - Southwell
Road - Mansfield Road, Edingley - Main Street - Station
Road - Southwell Road, Kirklington - A617 - Vice Versa
d. Kirklington Road, Bilsthorpe - Eakring Road, Bilsthorpe -
Eakring Road, Rufford - A614 - A617 - Vice Versa
e. Kirklington Road, Bilsthorpe - Eakring Road, Bilsthorpe -
Eakring Road, Rufford - A614 - A617 - Vice Versa
f. Kirklington Road, Bilsthorpe - Eakring Road, Bilsthorpe -
Eakring Road, Rufford - A614 - A617 - Vice Versa
g. Eakring Road, Kirklington - Kirklington Road, Eakring
- Newark Road - Caunton Road, Maplebeck -
Maplebeck Road, Caunton - A616 - Hockerton Road -
Caunton Road, Winkburn - A617 - Vice Versa
The Order will come into force on Monday 20th October
2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and
any subsequent day when necessary to enable works
to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until
the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18
months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to
carry out resurfacing and associated works;
