MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC000145749328: The City of Manchester (Egerton Street, Hulme Ward)(Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to suspend the operation of the cycle lane on Egerton Street, on the outbound carriageway at the junction of the Railway Bridge thereby prohibiting any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate water connection works. It is expected that the works will be in progress on 2nd November 2025. The order shall come into operation on 2nd November 2025and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 18th October 2025. ORDER NO. MCC145832054: The City of Manchester (Mirabel Street & Breslyn Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Mirabel Street & Breslyn Street at their junctions with each other. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Great Ducie Street, Trinity Way, Mirabel Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate the adjacent development. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 30th October 2025 to 31st January 2026. The order shall come into operation on 30th October 2025 until such time that it is revoked.
