MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
What is happening?
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC000145809826: The City of Manchester (Egerton Street, Hulme Ward)(Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Egerton Street, under the Railway Bridge. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate adjacent electrical connection. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 20th October 2025 to 28th October 2025. The order shall come into operation on 20th October 2025and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. ORDER NO. MCC145686100: The City of Manchester (Budsworth Avenue, Old Moat Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Budsworth Avenue. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate access to overhead structure for pole replacement. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 17th October 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 17th October 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
