What is happening?

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-named Order under section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to impose a 40mph speed limit in that length of Limpsfield Road (B269) Warlingham which extends from a point 50m north-west of the north-western kerb-line of C75 The Ridge to a point 17m southeast of the junction with D1356 High Lane.
The speed limit proposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011. A copy of the proposed Order together with the plan showin the length of road to which this Order relates and a Statement of  the  Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed online at www.surreycc.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/policies-plans-consultations/roads-and-transport-consultations.

These documents and a copy of the proposed Order may also be viewed at (i) Warlingham Community Library, Shelton Avenue, Warlingham, CR6 9NF, during normal opening hours; (ii) Tandridge District Council Offices, 8 Station Road East, Oxted, Surrey, RH8  0BT, during normal office hours; and (iii) Reception, Surrey County Council, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ, by appointment only. If you wish to object to, or make representations relating to, the proposed Order, you must send the grounds for your objection or representation (including any in support) by (1) using the online form via the webpage quoted above; or (2) in writing to Traffic Regulation Orders Team, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ by 6 November 2025
