DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF WEIGHT LIMIT MAIN STREET AND NEW TYTHE STREET, LONG EATON
What is happening?
WHEN: 29 October to 30 October 2025 (23:30 to 05:00)
WHERE: Main Street, Long Eaton temporary road closure
at the level crossing. Temporary suspension of weight
restriction on New Tythe Street, Long Eaton.
REASON: To facilitate level crossing testing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Main Street, Station Street,
Station Road, New Tythe Street and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible,
on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as
soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than
advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring

The County Council intends to make an Order under
Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as
amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
