What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City and County of Swansea in pursuance of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intend to make an Order. In order for Swansea Council to undertake drainage works, it will be necessary to
temporarily close the above named road to vehicular traffic, access for residents only will be maintained with delays expected.
SCHEDULE
SCHEDULE - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
WOOLLACOTT DRIVE, NEWTON
Woollacott Drive from its junction with Summerland Lane in a north easterly direction, to its junction with Briarwood Gardens, a distance of approximately 200 metres.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Summerland Lane, Picket Mead Road and the unaffected section of Woollacott Drive, a distance of approximately 500 metres.
Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction.
Access for emergency vehicles to be maintained at all times.
The maximum duration of the order is 18 months and it is anticipated the work will take 4 weeks to complete effective from Saturday 25th October 2025.
