TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PROPOSAL THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CARDIFF (RUGBY AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS 2025, CARDIFF) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES) ORDER 2025

What is happening?

The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff in exercise of its
powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as
amended), and of all other enabling powers intends in not less than 7
days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the general effect of
which is to prevent any vehicle from using or proceeding along the
lengths of road specified in the Schedule below.
The Order is necessary to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public
and is expected to be in operation on the dates and during the times
specified in the below Schedule.
The restriction specified will only have the effect at such times and to
such extent as indicated by the display of signs and/or notices. The
Order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months.
The Order will be known as “The County Council of the City and County
of Cardiff (Rugby Autumn Internationals 2025, Cardiff) (Temporary Road
Closures) Order 2025”.

Wales v Argentina
Between the hours of 7:00am and 7.15pm on Sunday 9th November
2025
Wales v Japan
Between the hours of 7:00am and 10.00pm on Saturday 15th November
2025
Wales v New Zealand
Between the hours of 7:00am and 7.15pm on Saturday 22nd November
2025
Wales v South Africa
Between the hours of 7.00am and 7.15pm on Saturday 29th November
2025
• Scott Road and Park Street throughout their lengths
Wales v Argentina
Between the hours of 11:00am and 7.15pm on Sunday 9th November
2025
Wales v Japan
Between the hours of 1:30pm and 10.00pm on Saturday 15th November
2025
Wales v New Zealand
Between the hours of 11:00am and 7.15pm on Saturday 22nd November
2025
Wales v South Africa
Between the hours of 11.00am and 7.15pm on Saturday 29th November

• Kingsway from its junction with North Road to its junction with Duke
Street
• Cowbridge Road East from its junction with Cathedral Road to its
junction with Westgate Street
• Tudor Street from its junction with Clare Road to its junction with Wood
Street (access for residents and traders will be permitted via
Fitzhammon Embankment)
• Plantagenet Street and Beauchamp Street from their junctions with
Despenser Place to their junctions with Tudor Street (access for
residents and traders will be permitted)
• Saunders Road throughout its length
• Customhouse Street throughout its length (access to private car parks
will be permitted)
• Penarth Road from its junction with Saunders Road to the entrance
leading into the rear of the Central Train Station
• Duke Street, Castle Street, High Street, St Mary Street, Caroline
Street, Wood Street, Central Square, Westgate Street, Quay Street,
Green Street, Guildhall Place, Golate and Havelock Street throughout
their lengths
• City Hall Road, College Road, Gorsedd Gardens Road, King Edward
VII Avenue and Museum Avenue throughout their lengths (Access
may be permitted at the discretion of Cardiff Council Traffic
Management Staff)
If there are safety concerns, the roads referred to in this order may be
closed for longer than specified above

ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn, gwneud Gorchymyn a fydd yn eich atal
rhag defnyddio neu barhau ar hyd y darn o ffordd a nodir yn yr
Atodlen isod.
Mae’r Gorchymyn hwn yn ofynnol i atal y tebygolrwydd o berygl i’r
cyhoedd a disgwylir iddo fod yn weithredol ar y dyddiadau a’r amseroedd
a nodir yn yr Atodlen isod.
Dim ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau a nodir ar arwyddion a/neu
hysbysiadau sy’n cael eu harddangos y bydd y cyfyngiad dan sylw ar
waith. Bydd y Gorchymyn yn parhau ar waith am hyd at 18 mis.
