Somerset Council Various Roads, Shepton Mallet (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2025 (WestFest Event 2025)

What is happening?

Somerset Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 2nd day of October 2025 to introduce temporary traffic restrictions in the roads specified in the Schedules to this Order. The Order shall come into operation on the 16th day of October 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Order will be made to facilitate the WestFest 2025 event and is in the interest of public safety. All closures will be signed and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary. Exemptions are provided in the Order for emergency vehicles and any vehicles associated with the management of the event.
