Somerset Council Parish of Frome Temporary Closure of Whitestone Road, Wynford Road, Monmouth Drive, St Johns Road and Coronation Road
What is happening?
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Whitestone Road - for its entirety; Wynford Road - from the junction with Whitestone Road to the Junction with Monmouth Drive Monmouth Drive - from the junction with Wynford Road to the junction with St Johns Road; St Johns Road - from the junction with Monmouth Drive to the junction with Berley Road and Coronation Road - from the junction with St Johns Road, south-eastwards for 48 metres A total distance of 664 metres. This Order will enable Network Plus to carry out LV overlay works on behalf of Scottish and Southern Power Distribution. These are phased works as and when signed on site.
The Order becomes effective on 30th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 3rd November 2025 and last until 16th February 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 106 days.
