Somerset Council Parish of Glastonbury Temporary Closure of The Roman Way
What is happening?
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along The Roman Way - from the junction with Hill Head, south-westwards for a total distance of 453 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out poling installation works.
The Order becomes effective on 30th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 3rd November 2025 and last until 5th November 2025 between the hours of 08:30 - 15:30 for a total of 3 days.
