What is happening?

VARIOUS ROADS, KINGS WESTON LANE AREA (HENACRE
DEVELOPMENT), AVONMOUTH & LAWRENCE WESTON WARD,
ONE WAY TRAFFIC AND 20MPH SPEED LIMIT – TRAFFIC ORDERS

The City Council of Bristol hereby gives NOTICE that on 16th October 2025 it made the following traffic orders to regulate vehicles in the newly constructed Henacre development, which is located south west of Kings Weston Lane:-

A. The City Council of Bristol (Bees Drive and Fisk Crescent, Avonmouth & Lawrence Weston Ward, City of Bristol) (One Way Traffic) Order 2025, the effect of which is to introduce one way traffic for vehicles in:-
1. Fisk Crescent, in an anti-clockwise direction; and
2. Bees Drive, in a south easterly then north easterly direction.

B. The City Council of Bristol (Various Roads, Kings Weston Lane Area, Avonmouth & Lawrence Weston Ward, City of Bristol) (De-Restriction) (20 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2025, the effect of which is to regulate vehicles in the newly constructed Bees Drive, Fisk Crescent, Tedder Street and Waddington Close, which are located south west of Kings Weston Lane. The effect is to introduce 20 mph speed limits in their entire lengths in place of the 30 mph speed limits.

The orders will come into operation on 20th October 2025 and copies thereof, together with plans and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the orders, may be inspected at the Citizen Service Point at 100 Temple Street, Bristol, BS1 6AG between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday. Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
