THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

(Trowse With Newton, C190 White Horse Lane) (Bus Stop Clearway) Notice 2025

Notice is hereby given that Norfolk County Council propose to relocate a bus stop clearway with markings defined in the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 which will introduce a no stopping at any time restriction at the following location in the Parish of Trowse with Newton:

Installation of the Bus Stop Clearway

Road

Description

C190 White Horse Lane

From a point 26 meters northeast of the centreline of its junction with U77440 Dell Loke for 13 meters north-eastwards

Removal of the Bus Stop Clearway

Road

Description

C190 White Horse Lane

From a point 12 meters northeast of the centreline of its junction with U77440 Dell Loke for 20 meters north-eastwards

The reason for this proposal is to prevent the obstruction of the bus stop clearway on the C190 White Horse Lane and to prohibit vehicles from parking in front of the property access. The proposal will reduce the likelihood of parking immediately in front of the soon-to-be-developed property, as well as reducing the risk of collisions occurring whilst also ensuring that access is maintained.

The proposal also seeks to reinstate the prohibition of waiting at any time restrictions on the north-east side of the C190 White Horse Lane from its junction with the C202 The Street south-westwards to a point 5 meters south-west of the centreline of its junction with Dell Loke as stated in existing The Norfolk County Council (Trowse with Newton, Various Roads) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2014.

A copy of the plan and 2014 Order may be viewed online at: www.norfolk.citizenspace.com. Copies are also available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich, NR1 2DH and the offices of South Norfolk Council, Horizon Business Centre, Peachman Way, Norwich NR7 0WF. Dated this 10th day of October 2025
