What is happening?
WILTSHIRE COUNCIL
Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Low Road (Part), Cheverell Parva; from its property known as Cedar Croft to its property known as Holly Cottage to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out bridge repairs and associated works.
Alternative route via: Low Road (unaffected length) - C40 - B4040 - Low Road (unaffected length) and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation at 08:00 on 3rd November 2025 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 14th November 2025.

B) C41 (Part), Sutton Veny; from its property known as No. 11 Deverill Road to its property known as No.28 Deverill Road to enable Wessex Water to carry out cabling and associated works.
Alternative route via: C41 (unaffected length) - High Street.
This Order will come into operation on 3rd November 2025 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 14th November 2025.

C) UC 934001, Boyton; from its junction with UC 934002 to its junction with C10 to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works.
Alternative route via: UC 934002 and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 7th November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 18:00 for 1 day.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
D) Mill Street (Part), Heytesbury; from its junction with Mantles Lane to its property known as Overstream House to enable Wessex Internet to carry out ducting and associated works.
Alternative route via: Mill Street (unaffected length) - C272 - Mantles Lane and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 13th October 2025 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day on weekdays only until 17th October 2025.

E) Huntingdon Rise (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Huntingdon Street to its property known as No.37 Huntingdon Rise to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway surfacing and associated works.
Alternative route via: Huntingdon Rise (unaffected length) - Ashley Road - A363 - B3108 - Huntingdon Street and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 13th October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 until 21st October 2025.

Orders A) to E) will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
Section 16(A) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
Bradford Road (Part), Atworth; from its junction with Coronation Street to its junction with Church Street to enable filming on location.
Alternative route via: Bradford Road (unaffected length) - C212 - C239 - A365 and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This Order will come into operation on 15th October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 19:00 for 1 day.
Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the closure.
The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Pedestrian Crossing - B3108 Winsley Bypass, Winsley
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes the installation of a "PUFFIN" (Pedestrian User-Friendly Intelligent) Crossing, a form of traffic signal-controlled crossing in B3108 Winsley Bypass, Winsley at a point approximately 50 metres east of the centre of its junction with Dane Rise.
A copy of the plan showing the location of the crossing may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Bradford on Avon Library, Bridge Street, Bradford on Avon between the hours of 10:00am – 7:00pm Monday, 9:30am – 5:00pm Wednesday and Friday, 9:30am – 7:00pm Thursday and 9:30am – 4:00pm Saturday until 10th November 2025.

1. The County Of Wiltshire (Trowbridge) (Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting, Prohibition Of Stopping, Taxi Rank Clearways And On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2025
(Previously advertised as The County of Wiltshire (Trowbridge) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Prohibition of Stopping, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2023 (Amendment No.2) Order 2024
2. Pedestrian Crossings - The Halve And Roundstone Street, Trowbridge
Notice is hereby given that on 2nd October 2025 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order No.1 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and No.2 in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to revoke the Trowbridge Consolidation Order 2023 (with Amendment No.1) and to re-enact it in the above Order 1 and to include additional restrictions, the effect of which will be as follows:
a) To remove No Waiting at any time and replace with No Waiting at any time and No Loading at any time on Roundstone Street - north side - from a point at the building corner of property No. 16 Roundstone Street to the boundary of property No.38 Roundstone Street; Roundstone Street -south side - from a point 2 metres north of the northern building corner of property No. 13 Roundstone Street to its junction with Polebarn Road.
b) To remove No Waiting at any time and replace with the installation of a Parallel Crossing, a combined pedestrian and cycle crossing which has priority over the road which it crosses, using zig-zag lines to indicate requirements of No Stopping and No overtaking on The Halve - both sides - from its roundabout junction with Hilperton Road for a distance of 42 metres in a northerly direction; Roundstone Street - both sides - from a point at the building corner of property No. 16 Roundstone Street to its roundabout junction with Hilperton Road.

Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 13th October 2025.
