What is happening?

DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

SNACKGATE LANE, HEIGHINGTON(ii)

Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:

SNACKGATE LANE

From the western boundary of 11b Snackgate Lane westwards and northwards to its end

An alternative route will be signed via Millbank, Highside Road, Greenhill Road, Twinsburn Road and vice versa.

The Order is necessary to allow works by Northumbrian Water to repair a sewer.

The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 17th November 2025, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 12 days.
