Lowry Hill Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Highway Works

(Lowry Hill Road, Carlisle) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along a 50m section of Lowry Hill Road, Carlisle, from its junction with Lowry Gardens to its junction with St Peters Drive.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via: the unrestricted sections of Lowry Hill Road, Esk Road, Moorville Drive, and the A7 Kingstown Road.

The Order will come into operation on 31st October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day between 09:00 and 16:00 hours, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
