(B709 TRAQUAIR, INNERLEITHEN)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (B709 Traquair, Innerleithen) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 13 October 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30. The Order is required for BT works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B709 from Traquair to Kirk House Farm, Innerleithen.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the B709, A708, A707, A72 and B709 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(HIGH STREET & WAVERLEY ROAD, INNERLEITHEN)

(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (High Street & Waverley Road, Innerleithen) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:30 on 13 October 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 19 October 2025. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.

When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along the following roads:

(a) High Street, Innerleithen from number 8/9 to number 47/48; and

(b) Waverley Road, Innerleithen from the junction with the A72 High Street to number 7/8.

A temporary three-way traffic lights system shall be in operation.
