Coggeshall, Temporary Road Closures & Parking Restrictions Due To Various Works
What is happening?
ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL
(Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.27) Order 202*
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1),45, 46, 49, 53, and Parts IV and III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
1. To revoke: No Waiting Thursday 6:00am - 6:00pm Restriction on the following lengths of road.
Road Name: Stoneham Street
Description: EAST SIDE: From a point approximately 20 metres South of its Coggeshall junction with Robinsbridge Road, South for approximately 94 metres.
2. To revoke: 'No Waiting at Any Time' Restriction on the following lengths of road.
Road Name: Stoneham Street
Description: EAST SIDE: From a point approximately 19 metres North-West from Coggeshall Stoneham Street Access Road (otherwise known as Crouch End) South, for approximately 4.5 metres.
3. To implement: 'No Waiting at Any Time' Restriction on the following lengths of road.
Road Name: Stoneham Street
Description: i. EAST SIDE: From a point approximately 20 metres South of its Coggeshall junction with Robinsbridge Road, South for approximately 38 metres.
ii. WEST SIDE: From a point approximately 19 metres North-West from Stoneham Street Access Road (otherwise known as Crouch End) North, for approximately 64 metres.
4. To implement: 'No Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm' Restriction on the following lengths of road.
Road Name: East Street
Description: NORTH SIDE: From a point in line with the western boundary of Coggeshall property number 62 East Street, East for a distance of approximately 30 metres.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) And (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019' by substituting map tiles: TL845 227 Revision 0 to Revision 1 and TL850 225 Revision 0 to Revision 1.

Documents can be made available for inspection 8:30am – 5:30pm Mon-Thurs and 8:30am - 5:00pm on Friday at: Essex County Council, County Hall E block main reception, Market Road, Chelmsford.

Objections: Anyone who wishes to make an objection to the proposed scheme should send the grounds for their objection to the address above or via e-mail to: TrafficRegulation.Order@essexhighways.org, quoting reference: Stoneham Street - TRAF/8524 and East Street TRAF/8694 by 7th November 2025.
(Buckley's Lane, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Buckley's Lane, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Tey Road to its junction with Buckley's Lane a distance of approximately 20m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th October 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03063674993 - Anglian Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter maintenance works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via: Tey Road, Colne Road, America Road, Flories Road, Brookhouse Road, Coggeshall Road and vice versa. (with access only into Buckley's Road).
The Order came into effect on 3rd October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Church Street, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Street, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 30m north east of its junction with Stoneham Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd October 2025 (18:00-07:00) for 2 nights, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310772932 - Anglian Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via: St Peters Road, East Street and vice versa (with access only into Church Street).
The Order came into effect on 3rd October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
